Good night Athens

After such experiencing such a noisy and busy day in Plaka and Monastraki, we need a little get away from the citylife. Where could that be?
Apparently, a lovely and a quiet place is not very far. When the clock strike to 7.30 pm, we ascend to the acropolis to have a view of this magnificent city.

It's so much fun to watch this busy city prepare for its bedtime.
It's lovely to watch the sun goes down in cloudy day...
Or in a clear day....
This is what I called the "golden hour" is when the sky is fully orange and red. The sun gold ray sweep the horizon. Truly breath-taking experience.
And as the time ticking away, the sun waving goodbye. And blue hour creeping the sky with the bluest blue.
While the city is preparing to wear it's evening glittery gown.
All the horn and toot on the road getting less and less audible.
The winds getting colder.
And then Acropolis lit up it's light.
Few minutes later, the blue sky is gone, the sky is dark.
All this episode has reminded me of one bible verse.

Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be

I start to understand why as a Christian, we always seems to be on the wrong side of the world, or facing a lot of trial.
When the thunderstorm cloud of life arrive and the darkness of this world appear before a child of God.
Our light will be more visible than when it is a bright day light. Just like this pictures.
A very important reminder for all of us to keep on keeping on in our spiritual life race.

And then the moon made it's march as the night fall.

Good night Athens, good night Acropolis...

and tomorrow shall be another day.

How lovely the story you tell about the sun going down. You are right that we are to "be a light in darkenss" to the world.

Great photos!
