Mother

You are the mother I received the day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, Mom, for all the things you've done.
mom2
You have given me a gracious man with whom I share my life.
You are his lovely mother and I his lucky wife.
mom
You used to pat his little head and now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy then gave to me a man.

Dedicated to my Mother in Law

From your short msg, I can almost feel the love and thanks that you wish to tell your mother-in-law..... Although my mil loves me a lot but there is still a "distance" b/w us......

@betchai : actually you can find the poem easily on the internet, it seems to be very famous. I kind of like the last sentence very much.

@Ellena : I must thank God for her. She is such a sweet understanding lady, make it easier for me to call her my own :)

Having a mother-in-law you love is such a blessing. Though my husband and I are sadly divorced now (his adultery was a deal breaker), I have such fond memories of his mother. She died right before her son and I separated, but she and I shared three and a half wonderful weeks in England and France the year before she died. (Thanks for visiting my blog, by the way -- and you'd love Seattle).

There's so much compressed within this short poem, all thankful and loving. You're a very blessed lady, so is your MIL and her son. =)
