Sunday school idea: spoon puppets

Jessica and I had a great time teaching the children Sunday school class today. The theme as the story of Esther from Esther chapter 1 to 3. Since we had to teach small children, from 3 to 6 years old, we decided to come up with something interesting, puppets made of plastic spoons. Hope some of you might find these useful for sunday school, or even just having craft time with your little ones.

From the left to right: Mordechai, Haman, and king Ahasuerus. The kids liked Haman, especially when I did a funny squeaky voice for him.

Queen Vasti (before she lost her position)

Esther the girl

Esther the queen. Note that I made a dress for her that can be clipped on using a paper clip, as well as a crown that fitted on her head.

And finally, the guinea pig! That's a puppet he made at Sunday school. It actually looked better with a white spoon instead of the transparent ones we used, but you get the idea.

Happy crafting..
